The 30th M.A.G.M.A. Gem Show was the largest in our history. We had over 35 fantastic vendors offering a wide variety of gems and minerals. Probably the best selection you will find in the area. #1 in WNC!
The crowds were amazing, and with the crowds, came a lot of business and little time for me to get a lot of photos. I did manage a few vendor shots from outside and a whole lot of people pics from my perch behind my booth.
The traffic began to flow about an hour after the show started on Friday morning and did not let up until well after we were closed on Sunday.
As always, I was spotting cool t-shirts for my, 'dry t-shirt contest' This one was the first entry.
I brought a huge selection of agates, jasper and petrified wood. Mostly from the Conybear collection. This material had been buried in storage the past couple of years and it was very popular with my customers.
As always, my books sold well.
A cool Diamond Hill specimen I had for sale. Dug in 2005.
Probably my favorite acquisition of the weekend was this 1,120 carat sapphire from the Wood Creek mine in Canton, NC.
Another t-shirt entry from Grover.
Damien trying to avoid the paparazzi.
Once again, WLOS News 13 was on site taking pics and doing interviews about our show. Great promotion!

Steven came to visit us and brought along some specimens of columbite-tantalite he collected in South Dakota.
